Remove the “Powered by Shopify” text from your website footer…

If you’ve found this blog post then you probably know exactly what we mean and why we also wanted to get rid of this small bit of text at the bottom of our website.

The “Powered by Shopify” text makes your site look like it was thrown together by an unprofessional developer or, like us, it reveals that the site was built by the entrepreneurs themselves!

We wanted to remove Powered by Shopify from our footer for good and we wanted to find out how to do it. While we found plenty of videos and blogs explaining how to remove the text the instructions were on outdated versions of Shopify so we needed to figure out how to do it ourselves. And now, to avoid you having to figure it out yourself too we’ve put together this short, precise and easy-to-follow (even if you’re not a coder) video tutorial.
